"How about I be me"? Well Sinead O'Conner certainly was on the Andrew Marr Show on the show on Sunday 17/02/13.

A glorious singing performance was preceded by an interview with Eddie Mair that almost disintegrated into farce. It felt like a nostalgia trip.

The track "4th and Vine".is the latest album's opener.

Best Bit:

SoC "I'm great, I'm wonderful, I'm fantastic...I'm the greatest "

EM: "Are you trying to convince me, or yourself?

SoC: " No, no, I'm just making idle conversation... till you ask me something interesting"

And about the Album:

SoC: "I'd characterise it as fantastically brilliant"

When I went out with skinhead O'Conner I remember her putting her pink dress onand looking real nice. Didn't make it to the church , or the six but I know what youmean kidda . Deal with questions as does Steve Jones (genetic scientist) when hedissects it and throws it back in a logical manner if you CAN.' Other commentators' try some more research before punching in your remarks!I suggest the www.internet ,books and The Edge.orgHappy New Year Sinead and you all ! (Im off to the vets to get me feckin' broken body sorted out )Slainte Mhaith

She is too good to be there. It was all wrong. The intro dredged up her past like she hasn't moved past Nothing Compares to You like a million years ago. Then the blowhard has the nerve to ask if she is trying to convince herself. That was rude and so inappropriate. I totally would have taken offense at that and left the show if I was her. Who the heck does he think he is? Arrogant assclown. What's with the couch being so close to the stage? Just a bad show. I applaud Sinead. She is honest. The interviewer was a boob.

He was obviously working to a TV schedule. Considering she's being given the opportunity to plug her latest album on national TV, she came across as a bit of a petulant arse to be honest

I think they were both impolite, Sinead was just a little more overt.

"Are you trying to convince me? Or yourself?" Eddie Mair shows why he is the BBCs best interviewer with his quick thinking response. We was just shocked someone would call her out for not being as good as she thinks she is.

She's just pissed at him for trying to sum her up with a brief intro. And she does suffer from bipolar. On the bad days you just don't give a ****.

Is it just me or does her performance look 100% dubbed? Not just that she sings incredibly well, but look at how she moves her head away from the mic but the volume stays constant. 2:24 for example

A vocal talent no less, but the rasta and the tats make her look like a biker. Just sing and don't open your mouth. Remember the last time you got controversial? Made you seek a nice dark hole for a very long time. Your appearance shows it....

There is no excuse for being rude and she was being rude he just asked her a question he wasn't being patronising. this is a perfect example of stick to what your good at and she's good at singing and performing.
