Ok was I the only one thinking of Rihanna the entire song? I'm not comparing just to reduce, or just for comparisons sake, but she really and truly has a very similar voice, vocal style as well, and look as Rihanna. I often hear and sometimes even think to myself that we should let new artists create and define their own personality and musical artistry, but I also feel that comparing a particular person, place, thing,or even idea to another that possesses similar qualities is nothing more than human nature. It may or may not always be a conscious act, but the act of comparing or contrasting is likely our brains natural method of identifying new observations and experiences as well as processing and organizing them for future reference. Is that such a bad thing?
