@mysteryrocker123 Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius and Dark Moor are symphonic power metal. Freedom Call is progressive power metal. Iced Earth is Power Metal teetering on Thrash. That doesn't even put a tiny ding in the GIANT TITAN PLANET that is Power Metal. xD Some more good ones: HammerFall, Running Wild, Dream Evil, Dreamland, Iron Fire, Twilightning, Thunderstone, Tarot, Vision Divine, Solid Vision, Lanfear, At Vance, Angra, and Nocturnal Rites. Power Metal is so great. =D

@rfw1994 Yeah, there's a lot of variations on Power Metal. It's an opinion though, I love all types of power metal. Everything from Primal Fear to Dark Moor, man. You gotta have some variety in your musical tastes if you are someone like me who always has music on. Nothing but pure power metal all day every day can get pretty tiring. Throw some prog in there, some symphonic, some screamy death head shit, some pirate metal/folk metal, etc, and you got a good mix. All Metal is awesome IMO.

@rfw1994 Rhapsody of Fire is pretty amazing dude. Not all good Symphonic is great but Rhapsody of Fire are the living kings of Power Metal.

@rfw1994 Not necessarily. Power Metal is a core genre of metal, but many subgenres of metal (such as Symphonic and Folk) can be tagged onto the core genre. A good example of a band like this would be Rhapsody of Fire.
