Man this is so much better than the bubblegum hit. It really sounds like an S&G tune and makes the hit version sound so freakin stupid

Ugh.. it's not very good. No wonder they gave it away. Great song, but not for S&G

Paul and Artie were so great.

I find it interesting that another group "got" the song before Simon and Garfunkel. He couldn't be a co-writer with Woodley either or he didn't own something he had a hand in??

Simon and Garfunkel sing with such experience and authority. Paul clips off the words with real bite, the only version of the song that really reflects the anger of the lyric. And they have the wisdom to sing the final line in unison instead of having the lower voice sink down, burying the lead, as it were.

Cyrkle made this sound like a generic Beatles rip off, Simon and Garfunkle gave the song meaning.

I agree. They should have included this in their old albums

Bruce Woodley, a talented Australian and an original member of the 60's group "The Seekers" co-wrote this song with Paul Simon.
