Not a S&G fan, per se but this is my favorite song of theirs. My neighbor had this 45 in the early '70's and we played it all the time. I never heard it on the radio and never heard any mention of it over the years. I don't know why that is...this is just so brilliant.

During the beginning of autumn I break out Simon & Garfunkel. I love the notion of "faking it" which is deeper than just lying. A fake has to first deceive themselves then convince others who will reinforce the faking. It is a reciprocal process.

One of my favorites. Love the guitar riff and the strings. Very Beatlesque, as some other Simon+Garfunkel songs of the era (e.g. "Hazy Kind of Winter" which is reminiscent of "Penny Lane").Has a kind of "Good Vibrations"-type production.
