I think you could be right. Brian said in an interview he had two car crashes in one week that involved pieces of wood in the road. "The wood that scares me, saved my life. Lesson learned after twice." I'm guessing it made him appreciate life more?

I want to like this band....i really do....but i have to be honest, the singer's tone of singing voice kind of bothers me, there's something artificial about it....it has a kind of forced spooky-whispery-nasally quality.....but i love the melodies, and the guitar, and the drumming

"Busy bees don't really fly, If I could just slow down, And scribble on missing pages, Who would I write it for, And who would write it for me" To me, this relates to the idea of life moving too fast. If you don't slow down and appreciate the individual moments (like a busy bee--just working, caught up in the daily routine, not really "flying"), you may miss out on a lot. "Missing pages" could be a way to express taking the time to appreciate these things. If he doesn't do it himself, who will?
