I know, "A Shipwreck in the Sand" is still the

best album for everyone and definitely burns

our a**. But despite of the weakness of their

third album (Arrivals and Departures), I bet

that this song is one of the best in this album.

Message: You've kept secrets from your partner

and you fear that you may get busted. You decided

to part ways with him/her but you fear that you

might hurt him/her with your decision. But you have

no choice but to do so rather than staying with

his/her side as you feel guilt and shame. The

weather, on the other hand, may symbolize

your relationship - an ordinary sunny day turned

into a hard rain as you part ways with him/her.

And your fears make you choose that decision

to quit, as mentioned in the chorus that it will

make you run away. It's theme supposed to be sad,

but the music itself expresses joy and optimism,

making sure that you won't hurt someone that much.
