OMG this really bring tears to my eyes. He is def telling the truth I know life can be so hard and difficult but you have to keep your head up nomatter what because life is not easy but you have to keep strong and keep moving on. You know, this reminds me of a buddy I used to know. He went by the name Icy Wyte. He was an independent artist that was living in the same state I lived in which is Mississippi. He was very talented and he was trying to make it in the music industry. He kind of reminded me of Eminem because he was a young Caucasian guy who was very talented in rapping. I remember I got a chance to meet him and it was at this talent showcase in my hometown in Mississippi. It was so many people who were there to perform at this showcase. I was very skeptical because I haven't got a chance to perform on stage for a while and I didn't know if I could do it but at one point I almost got to a point where I almost got up and just quit everything because it was so much tension and confusion I just couldn't deal with it. I'm glad I did get the opportunity to perform because to me regardless that I wasn't that great than anyone else I still do my thang even though I had to do alittle work on certain things I did when I was performing on stage. I did get a chance to meet Icy Wyte and his mom and they were really nice and he even gave me one of his music demos which I believe was his first demo he did but I wasn't sure. I even got a chance to see him perform and believe me when I saw him perform I was really blown away. I was like wow if he wins this showcase I'm not worried but because he def earned it. He was def humble and very friendly to be around and I liked that when it comes to a artist and a person. After the showcase after the judges finally made their decision on who won what I kind of knew that even though I did okay and it wasn't the best I didn't aspect for to notice that they put me in last place below all the other entertainers and etc but they did let Icy Wyte win the show and I knew he did but I was really disappointed and to make things worse most of the judges after the show were shading me and they were reading me about my performance and even my stage name because I was new to the game and I didn't really sit down and decide what name I wanted to use in the music industry but the first thing that came in my mind was Lil Larry because don't get me wrong it was a childhood name I had since I was growing up but I was thinking about some of the other celebrities like Lil Kim, Lil Bow Wow, Lil Romeo, etc so I felt like since I'm coming out with this name why not just come out and become a singer instead of a rapper but this dude who I won't speak his name he tore me up the most and had people thinking like why the fuck was this dude who claim was Lil Larry in his stage name was there and he was the wackiest bitch in the show! It was horrible and atleast he told me while he was dissing me that hey i rather you come out and just be you by saying your stage name should be your name which is Larry Banks so people won't have something negative to say and will respect your name and your talent that you bring to the table so I understand that but the way he approached me was wayyyyy off and the other judge who claimed was Soulja Boi's manager at the time felt sorry for me and told me don't let it get to me keep your head up if you want to do that that's fine and I was cool with what he said but to make a long story short the dude who was over the showcase even though he wanted to have this showcase for people who had talent and he told us if anyone wins the showcase will get a opportunity to not only get a record label but get a chance to perform on tv with BET and etc. Nevertheless, Icy Wyte did won the showcase but the man who was over it never gave Icy Wyte the chance instead he already had someone to perform on BET which he already chosen before he decided to do the talent showcase. I was thinking to myself like why would you do a talent showcase or even try to help people with their talent and you already have someone that you want to do big with that's stupid to be honest I feel like he waisted our time and he shouldn't even bother helping us. You know what that didn't stop Icy Wyte because he told me that he is still going to follow his dream nomatter what and he did before I knew it every time I turn around he was posting his entertainment stuff on Youtube and etc and I was so proud of him and I remember telling him that I just hope one day that we can make this track with you and me and I don't care if the track don't go big or whatever but I just want because I know we were performed already and meet in the same room when was at the showcase and I saw a music connection there and I felt like since both of us was very talented and waiting for us to make this happen why not start somewhere and show people hey look what we can do and believe something small can turn into something big and you look back and say wow I remember that and we laugh and see how far we came to be but it never happen because I kept wondering to myself whatever happen to my cool buddy since its been 2 or 3 years since I heard from him and when I researched on my own that's when I found out about the news that he had a car accident and he didn't make it and it really I'm sorry (crying) hurts to see that if you haven't heard from someone you knew who you knew or was cool with and when you hear about that the same person is no longer here its hurts and it really crushed me and I hate that there was no closure it just felt man I lost a real cool friend and now when I look at his videos he really aspired me to keep my head up and never give up because I know you will have haters that will hate and things won't go as they seem but you have to keep moving on and put god first because he will def make a way.
