Chicago Metalworks Battalion was an early 1980's compilation album featuring (as the title implies), Heavy Metal bands from the state of Chicago.
Some of the featured bands reputations have grown steadily over time, such as SLAUTER XSTROYES, DIAMOND REXX and SILENT RAGE, but there are also a wealth of more obscure artists present, such as PARADOXX, FELONY, BLACKSTAR, LUNACY, WARCRY, TORMENT and MAELSTROM.
The album was successful enough at the time to spawn at least one sequel, (perhaps more, i'm not sure), but it's very hard to find nowadays.
If you do track a mint original copy down expect to pay a hefty price to secure it.

please Please PLEASE upload Unleash the Dogs! I beg you. An old friend of mine used to have a bootleg of this album (he recorded onto cassette) and we'd cruise around in my '72 Ford LTD and just thrash to Unleash the Dogs. He lost it years ago at the college radio station he would DJ late night in Lisle, IL. But I still remember... "UNLEASH THE DOGS"10 years ago
