Sidney Bechet - Indiana (VintageMusic.es) video free download
Como buen "criollo", Sidney Bechet, tenía el problema de ser demasiado blanco para los negros y demasiado negro para los blancos. Pero este músico de origen y formación autodidacta, nacido en New Orleáns, tenía con Louis Armstrong mucha mas relación que una simple vecindad. Bechet fue junto con Armstrong, el primer y gran solista del jazz tradicional. Tocó con King Oliver, Roy Palmer y Freddie Keppard entre otros.

Thanks a million for this upload. Bechet was, is, and always will be my favorite. Discovered him in 1958 in a record store. It was a 33 long-playing recording of his 1958 Brussels World Fair performance with Buck Clayton on trumpet, Vic Dickerson on trombone, and the great Arvell Shaw on bass.They put the funky boys to shame with their heartfelt playing. "Back Home in Indiana" was one of the tracks on that LP. Unfortunately, I don't own the LP anymore or I would upload it in a heartbeat!Related Videos
