Shriekback are an English rock band who formed in North London in 1981. The band have split up and reformed a number of times since then, most noticeably the group released no material for seven years in the 1990s. 'Life In The Loading Bay' is the Kentish Town outfit's 13th full-length studio album, their first since 2007's 'Glory Bumps'.

+Darryl Lawrence I read in an interview that Go Bang was basically a retaliatory album because their label insisted they make more "radio-friendly" music. The whole thing seems like a shaggy-dog joke at the expense of the label to me. 12 years ago

I agree Go Bang was dreadful. 1992's Sacred City was awesome though - check it out. And they've down at least three more since then that are pretty good too14 years ago
