Shock The World Lyrics --

[J. Cole]

Life make a n-gga wanna yell out,

Change for the fame, how n-ggas turn sell out,

Too old for my mama crib I'm tryin to get the hell out,

Stayin out these cells but we working on that bail out,

Help out.. please, it sure is hard livin with out cheese,

Aint shit in my pocket only these house keys,

They pray for a n-gga but yet they doubt me

That's why I'm out getting higher than bel-vees,

But no I wont jump, being broke is childish you know I'm grown up

My money runnin' late tho so boy I wont front,

When my paper finally make it you should know I'm gonna stunt

Soo, hard

[Chorus]

My God, my life is such turmoil

Can't save me tonight cause times is hard now

I know you tell me don't let my guard down

I gotta get it my n-gga

Never believe what they say

Man, I gotta get paid

dog its so damn amazing

now I'ma shock the World

I'ma shock the World

hell no i aint man i gotta get mine dog and

its about time swear imma shock the world

swear imma shock the world

[Kendrick Lamar]

Stare inside of the soul of Kendrick

While I stare inside the solar... system

Hopin' I soak up enough game to play 3 systems with one controller and remain sane and remain unsober

Was Closer To My Dreams but reality actually told me hold up

No money in my jeans and my salary said "you owe us"

Can't pay them taxes, laid on that matress and feel colder than a polar bear

But this bear was in California

So I felt out a pocket and a piece of lint fell out my pocket

A broke opportunist all in my optics

You could see it even when I'm Sleep

My screw's loose, I hate when loose change fall in them seats

Because I need every dime like Magic Johnson or Hugh Hefner living in his prime

Prime example of youngin' on his grind

This the life of a Compton n-gga

I know the vanities of the World like the promise n-ggas

That's why we crooked in yo bushes where you find us n-gga You better scramble before you fold like an omelet n-gga

This ain't insomnic n-gga and that means I don't need Busters to front on me

A Bible in my pocket I'm walkin' like it's a gun on me

So when I catch a Fed they know to put more than one on me

Fear No Evil, I can still see Regals pullin' up

N-ggas tuck like a baby in fetal. . . Position

If you listen you can hear the City needs you

That's what my mind said

But my big head is tellin' me that I'm a Black Beetle

Until my number is called and someone yell Bingo

A shadow in the Dark, Park The Coupe

Then Re-Coop with the homeless in the park, Kendrick Lamar

This album might actually drop next year. Why? Kendrick has dropped two Studio Commercial albums and J. Cole and Kendricks album release within the same quarter or close. What doe this mean?Kendrick wouldnt release a collab album RIGHT after a studio debut. That's just weird (for the commercial market). Second. Both of their tours end at the end of this year. This is the first time things can sync up properly to actually finish it. It's not then...I just dont know when.

A big lol to everyone saying Kendrick is too fast, off beat, or using too many big words. Just because you can't comprehend what he says without going onto rapgenius doesn't mean he's not fire or that Cole is better. I love the soul in Cole but they're in different leagues as rappers. You can favor J Cole more as an artist, that's an opinion. As rappers though it's not even close. Very few are in K dots league.

"Incidental how my rhyming go, writing by the daily yo. Influenced from the one above, real lyrics, no front. Precision in the right direction, observing keep me ready, uplifted with precise decisions. Think we got it all configured, but it's written, no being's perfect." 1:51 a.m.

Why do we always gotta put someone down just to put others up. Kendrick and J. Cole obviously respect the other enough that they feel like they need to work with each other. Each has different styles, both are lyricist, if you can't see that in one but can in the other then you don't understand either. J Cole has a smooth soul flow that's almost melodical, lyrically he's born as a story teller that knows how to bring emotion is outside of any other musicians reach. Kendrick is a virtuoso in that his flow and wordings match in a way that's bizark, the way he uses his words and his creativity with word play and flow has never been seen at this level before. Neither rapper can match the other in the others style, both are out of this world and need outmost respect cause few rappers are up to par with either, that's why they can reach mainstream audiences and still hold the ears of real rap listeners.

J. Cole didn't really have a verse but almost every line is quotable. Kendrick is my nigga but he had an actual rap verse and almost none was quotable.

It's obvious J. Cole didn't Wana go hard on the track he's just mellow going with the beat spitting some real life shit. Kendrick is hard tho but he be rapping to fast going off beat literally. Rapping fast doesn't mean you kilt the track

I love both Cole and Kendrick, but I feel Cole is more a man of the people, and its easy to relate to him, J.Cole feel like your cousin, Kendrick is a lyrical beast though, but J.Cole oozes out them Tupac elements we love, they both great storytellers, Hip-hop future looking bright.
