Shirley Bassey gives a powerful performance of this song on her 1976 TV Variety Show, and during her early concert years Bassey used to close her show with this song. Many will recognize Jule Styne's work for writing much of the music to the movie, 'Funny Girl' starring the wonderful Barbra Streisand. Barbra won her first academy award (Oscar) for her protrayal of Fanny Brice in this movie back in 1968)

Shirley recorded this song as a single in 1960. She also included it on a 1959 LP titled, 'The Fabulous Shirley Bassey'. It was subsequently re-issued as, 'The Wonderful Shirley Bassey.'
