I Love this song. But the sound of madness is loud & can be controlling in a lot of lives. It was for me.. Fighting for yourself can be very difficult sometimes without outside help, whether it be friends or medical help. Reach out before the madness consumes you.

the song sounds great but the lyrics really seem a bit pompous in my opinion. its almost like he's saying that no one's allowed to be down or upset and that he's had it SO much worse than anyone out there because he 'created the sound of madness' so everyone needs to suck up how they feel. the only lyrics i really feel are good natured in slightest are "the darkest hour never comes in the night. you can sleep with a gun, but you gonna wake up and fight?"

After much thought, Ive decided i don't like this song. Its great music wise but the content comes across as kind of prickish. Its encourages an "I have had a harder life than you so you're not aloud to complain" mentality. Saying "i wrote the book on pain" is a bit of a slap in the face to those children living in Syria or women in Afghanistan. By this songs logic, only the person with the worst life can complain about it, while the rest of us should just 'get over it' which is not how life works. There is always gonna be people with more of a reason to complain than you that doesn't mean you cant complain. Its a shame really cus the songs really catchy.
