The word for word translation will not work is normal, the song is very subtle and full of wordplay, of metaphors.. In reading your post, I tried to translate the song .. But I'm not very good at English. I hope you still understand the meaning of the song. Friendly.

This song is about people lovers. A person leaves, the other remains. That remains is hurt, desperate. In a relationship there is often the one who breaks and those who do not want, here, “Those who leave” is the one to their broken relationship. The word for word translation will not work is normal, the song is very subtle and full of wordplay, of metaphors ..For ease of understanding, "those who leave" be a person: Sam and "those who remain" will Lea

« Ceux qui partent, laissent du noir sous les yeux, laisse des bras qui s'écartent pour des corps silencieux, les corps de ceux qui partent, comme d'autres démissionnent, comme d'autre rendent leurs cartes, ou abandonnent.. » « Those who leave, leaves black under eyes (black is a nice way of saying that “the person who remains” has big dark circles because Lea does not sleep ! )

Leave arms which diverge for bodies silent (Lea is into the arms of strangers to drown his sorrows and forget his love for Sam, these strangers are the 'silent bodies', they are not here to talk..Just for charnel pleasure? I don't know..) The bodies of those who leave, as other resign, as other render cards, or abandons..” (Sam abandons their relationship, he flees away...)

Ceux qui restent parlent toujours de.. Ceux qui partent, laissent des silences tout blanc, laissent des cris qui éclatent, pour des corps trop absents. Those who remain, always talking about of .. (Lea always speak of Sam who abandoned) Those who leave, leave a silences all white (translation difficult .. This is a reference to the snow, cold, a icy silence..), leaves to burst into tears for bodies for too absent (Lea crying because Sam is gone.)

Les corps de ceux qui partent, qui jamais ne consolent, qui jamais plus ne combattent. Cloués au sol, ceux qui restent, parlent encore de Ceux qui partent filent ..l'amour reste (x5) The bodies of those who leave, which never console, who never fight. (Sam is gone!) Nailed to the ground , those who remain talking about still... (Lea always talk of Sam, she's devastated) Those who leave, fled... the love remain (Sam decided to leave Lea for continue his path, but still love , the love of Lea)

I think I'm doing my best. If others want to correct me .. However, I have a little problem: "Partir" in French mean to go voluntarily. "Laisser", it is rather like giving up. But with dictionnary Laisser et Partir = Leave. There are however a little shade! Then the "bodies of those who leave" mean "people (= body) are going voluntarily"
