Shepherds Delight from The Clash´s Sandinista!

Some nice reggae music with someone...sniffing along to?

Starts with what almost sounds like celtic horns and ends...oddly.

This is the very last track on the gargantuan triple-LP Sandinista! and quite a fitting last track if you ask me, one likely needed if you´ve just listened through the 37 ones before it (which you should do at least twice a week).

Credited to The Clash/Mikey Dread.

RIP Joe and Mikey.

Sandinista has some pretty good songs but I still find it very difficult to sit through in its entirety, it gets a bit repetitive.

Got 5/36 songs off this album. My favorite was The Magnificent Seven, love that bass line to death. Then i'd put Police On My Back,

I was stoned and found there is a connection between this and Menforth Hill. The Sound of missile being launched is the same missile at the beginning of Mensforth Hill. And then that song is Something about england backward a song about racial discrimination and social hardships. This shows that all the hate in the world will lead up to bombs being dropped and the world ending. The Beginning of Mensforth Hill is the end of the world as is the end of Sheperds Delight.

@AppoCC119 I think it is actually, just a dub version

Hang on guys: I think honestly that the end is the recording of a urinal in the recording studio. I'm not kidding. It's in a book on the Clash but the book is at home in the U.K. and I'm in Canada until April so cannot dig out the source but am positive that that's what ends the song!!!

Just finished listenen to the whole album on utube. and dug out the tattered alBUM with lyric sheets and cartoons also my notes and thoughts at the time.
