There are some songs that are buried deep in your childhood memories that take you back to that peaceful time. I was 11 when this was number one. Makes me so happy to hear it now at 63. Makes me forget all of my problems. Love it.

The first 45 I ever bought was "Angel on My Shoulder", I think the flip side was "His hair was Brown" or something like that. I named my first daughter Shelby; "Dad why, why did you name me after a Car?

I lived near the recently demolished Orange Bowl stadium in Miami as a kid. I used to ride my bike around the stadium walkways. One day, I was carrying a transistor radio tuned to a rock and roll station. This song came on. I was so moved by Shelby's voice, I actually fell off of my bike. I just laid there, bruised and bloody, listening until the song ended.
