Written by Donnie Fritts and Eddie Hinton for and originally recorded by Dusty Springfield and included in her "Dusty In Memphis" album. Subsequently, it was recorded by many other artists, but was not a huge single hit (in the UK) until released by UB40 (featuring Chrissie Hynde) in the '80's. Their arrangement is very similar to this.

A really good record 12" as well, i got this 12" too...my wifes favourite reggae tune..i prefer the Lorna bennett version....any one heard Bongo Hermans Version

@RootsDaughter41926 Ok. I've googled it and then red that even the version of Lorna Benett was a cover. To me it is the best version. But i also like that one of Sheila Hylton. Reggae of the 70's is the best! Greetings!

@octaviano1296 ... hi, when I put original it refers to the the vinyl.. meaning it's an original record not simply from a CD or a repressing or reissue. Someone has already referred to Ms Bennett being the first to reggaefi this tune... :-)
