I remember reading once of the tie-in of Scandianavian language with the Indian and at the risk of beginning a useless diatribe, I believe all of Europe has a thread of all "older" cultures.....nomad meant nomad.

One of my absolute favorite vocalists. I love the mixing of music. I have 4 of her albums and a few songs from her pre-solo career, but she's another one I've lost track of. She's marvelous and deserves everyone fully explore her oeuvre.

@casbakebab It is based on the song, Reynardine, which is a traditional English ballad about a werefox!! There are several versions out there. The Late Bert Jansch, and Fairport Convention, along with Buffy Ste. Marie have done covers of this.

First heard this song while watching Long Way Down. So hauntingly beautiful. Thank you to the one who uploaded it.

@casbakebab You are spot on.A very lovely old Irish song & Sheila Chandra does it such justice.

More Music I Love -- Sheila ChandraI have a special love for musicians who use the human voice as an instrument rather than just a means of conveying lyrics. Sheila Chandra is one of those artists. While this song isn't her best example of the kind of voice-as-instrument music she has created and performed, it is a beautiful example of her trademark cross culture fusion.
