This among so many of Ms. Colvin' songs has been inspiring me since the first time I listened to it on a CD in the fall of 2000, when the country was in need of a "few great repairs", I needed to stay away from a man who was 1)Trouble, but I knew he 2)Would Make Me Lonely when he did leave...but like so many of us I didn't know I was a Diamond in the Rough, and there was no need to 3)Cry Like An Angel when I looked at the" Polaroids of the two of us making "a conceptual pair", because in a 4) Matter of Minutes, you can become a 5) Whole New You, and then the whole world will have 6)Nothing on You.The word or words prefaced by a number are songs while all the words in quotations are lyrics by Shawn Colvin, for anyone not familiar with this amazing singer/guitarist/story teller /poet.

Shawn Colvin always particularly demanding and careful with the performance of their live appearances, especially with the tuning of your "tool" preferred, the acoustic guitar. And worth the wait awhile, because the result is simply beautiful and delicious.

steady on is a neat tune like it, shawn was a handful as a little girl, i bought her book diamond in the rough in it she tells about her um rebellious youth especially pertaining to school in southern illinois a pretty good read, like her sense of being and sense of humor she turned out ok though should give hope that even if youre not steady on you can land on your feet theres hope for all of us!
