You have a beautiful voice. You did your own thing and it was wonderful. You don't have to be as powerful as Fabian. I think people get too caught up in things being spot on to the original. The whole point of a cover is to do your own thing. Great job!

Pitchy. The point of a cover is to give a creative twist to the original record. However, the lyrics of the sing don't allow for anything other than serenity, which is not what you gave. You tried too hard to give power. This is three years old, so I suppose this is obsolete information to you.

Lara Fabian's voice is in a category of its own. She is truly one of the best vocalists alive, so giving a shot at one of her songs takes allot of courage and honestly you did pretty well!

im in love with this.... the original got really powerful in the vocals near the climax but you managed to soften them to where i can listen without adjusting my volume...bravo!

I agree that it's hard to match the power of Lara Fabian's vocals on this song but this is still very good.  I like the softer, more plaintive sound yours has, it blends better with the piano performance.  The original had a very cosmic sound to it due to the power of Lara Fabian's voice and background instrumentals and for that version it worked.I do agree with someone else's comment that you're being a bit harsh on yourself here.  It's not the same as the original but that doesn't mean that your version doesn't also have its merits.(On a side note, I'm rather amused that there seems to be a huge overlap in our musical tastes judging by your covers.)

I used to listen to this song ALL the time when I was a teenager. I love your version. As other people have said, you really sing it with more emotion than the original. And I love your piano arrangement.

Whether your voice is 'powerful' enough is purely subjective IMO. You did a wonderful job and I'm adding it to one of my playlists. Brava my dear, and as someone else said I'm not so sure that I don't prefer your version over the original.

I love this! I listened to the original and a few other covers just to see how they compared, but you're such an awesome singer. Have you ever noticed how in singing shows they always say even if they sing well they need the emotion? It's so beautiful here. Thank you for allowing us to listen. :D

The difference is the original had a lot of other percussion to help it out with increased emotion instead of just her voice being put in a background fade. Taintedlore is just using a piano and the power of her voice. She should add the thunderous percussion the original to bring he whole thing out.
