i wonder if King David played the harp this good. don't you think this pleases God, them using their talent to praise Him? He's probably a pretty proud Father. it makes me smile and i don't have anything to do with it

Yeah I'm a drummer. Not drum kit more rudimental stuff. That's why I really like his style.

Just because he's not playing an F# doesn't mean he doesn't know it. There's these things called chord variations that you learn after you get past basic music theory. That's the stuff that you learn once you get past the basic major chords you learn from the chart that comes with your beginner guitar. Also very few people play an F# on acoustic. Not because they don't know it but because it doesn't ring out like other chords. He has some sick timing way beyond basic music theory also.

beautiful. Who cares how you label them, whether or not they are as "musicians" They are singing to the Lord, and through this are bringing people closer. Brings such joy to my face!!!! If I could dance, I would dance to this song!! "pretty melody, dedicated to God."

What you talking about? Did you actually see what I was replying to? "no life"? Writing a reply to a discussion that ended 3 months, of which the person who made the original comment admitted his mistake?! (No life?) Just enjoy the video (or not), and move on, my friend!

Anybody who plays music so that it is utterly captivating is a great musician. I don't give a rip what they know or don't know. I'm sick of avante garde types who produce art that nobody likes but is still considered "great" by some ill-defined elite. These guys are great musicians. Nobody better dare disagree, ere I become agitated!

webster's defines musician as: someone who plays a musical instrument (as a profession) artist who composes or conducts music as a profession these guys are truly great musicians.

These guys are incredible musicians! They have incredibly good ears. I mean I know vocal majors in college that dont understand how they do the harmonys they do. I think that traning dose help and builds your skills considerably because I have done alot of theroy, but before that I played and sang by ear for nearly 4 years and got along quite well. So natural talent can go a long way, and these guys use that to the fullest.

"...good musician means you know musical theory"? I'm sorry but you're wrong. Musician = "One who composes, conducts, or performs music, especially instrumental music.". As you can see, the definition of a musician is not someone who has to know Music Theory. What about people in countries that don't have access to the same kind of education? Are you saying they can only at best be regarded as good players of musical instruments?
