I got to come back and read the comments later. But damn it, still to this day I don't understand why this version of Shalamar didn't make it.

Do these guys even know how to play guitar? Doesn't look like they know how to even pretend to play guitar.

This album got no review in the All Music Guide to Soul, so I wanted to do some research. Pretty decent stuff. Sometimes I think the critics were too harsh on this time period. You watch these retro shows and stuff and all they pay homage too are the same things over and over. The 80s was more than just Madonna, "Take on me" by AHa, and Michael Jackson. Thank God for all of them, but there are other great things and memories too. And this is a fine example....Reminds me a little of Tamara and The Seen

This is my ish right here!!! That guitar work is on fiiiiiiiiiiiiyaaaaaaaaaa!! People were used to Howard, Jodi and Jeffrey .... they couldn't get past the fact that the originals were gone and nothing they (Mikki, Delisa and Justin) did was going to change that. Killer song though. "Games" by them was the bomb too! Both bang hard in 2014!

This Shalamar was strong from beginning to end, Their music was tough and they knew how to Jam, i'm suprized that some people dont feel this Band.

for a guy like micki wasnt "black" he sure embraced the r and b roots i've never heard him say hes black in interviews or anything else. others always say "hes indian" and thats all.

they really went over-dose on that one - the kind of music I wish I did not see the video to ;-) ( All good, though... it sold and it was a crazy phaze, too :-P)

The main reason I'm glad the 80s is dead male musicians in drag/ rock stars with long hair lipstick and mascara and RnB musicians with eye liner perms and lace shirts ugh!

Since these three "became" shalamar, they went from their destinct LA sound to copy Minneapolis especially on this song and fizzled out
