Emo lyrics maybe but very real indeed and something in which everyone can relate too. Probably what I love about hardcore punk lyrics in that it covers a lot of life's struggles, in so far as political, social & personal issues. As for me I have always loved Unbroken as a band but Shai Hulad is def up there in my top 10 bands!!! Cheers for the post!!!

Man, used to rock the shit out of this when I was like 15-16, this and oldschool Unearth. Miss those days.

@avalanchesoul listen to Skys most wanted goobyes by the band We Are The End and read the lyrics, then eat your fucking words. That's the deepest most profound love hardcore fucking song ever written

@avalanchesoul you do know emo is an off shoot of hardcore, right? And when has it become lame or uncool to express emotion? This song has positive overtones as well. And furthermore, this shit isn't straight up hardcore... At all.

Awesome but that guitar riff just after the start is so depressing but awesome.

I'm so glad to see people commenting on this video. I just made this video one day so a friend of mine could hear the song and know what the hell the singer was saying, then I realized there weren't any other videos for this song on youtube. Its also good to see that there are still people out there to whom this band brings fond memories and stirs the deepest of emotions.

One of the greatest songs of my youth. Shai Hulud tells it as you know it's true. I love this song forever.

The end is clever and it's great.. like he's going through the conclusion and repeats the last word strength.. then lead guitar gently closes it off
