A tribute to Paul Horn, flutist and jazz musician, who passed away on June 24, 2014.

"Shah Jahan" was originally "written" (played extemporaneously) by Paul Horn on his "Inside the Taj Mahal" album.

I have re-played it here and added still images - animated using Sony Vegas video and sound editing software.

Inside the Taj Mahal is acknowledged as being the seminal album that gave Paul Horn the title ... Father of New Age Music. When it came on the scene, it opened a door for music with a more peaceful or spiritual essence. It revolutionized the direction of music for years to come. His two Taj Mahal recordings, made over twenty years apart in the legendary shrine, are his most famous and successful.

Wonderful job, wonderful long notes... I think I am going to start devoting my playing to long notes again... I guess musicians tend to walk away from them because it's just harder to master, but you seem to do it perfectly! :)
