After Henry left Sha Na Na... he had that big hit song "Shannon." Henry, an accomplished guitarist...a great song writer...singer...and all around great guy continues to put out cd after cd.

more emotion in gross' voice than johnny's, johnny may be a better singer but his voice isnt as good for the song

I'm very partial to Johnny Contardo's version of this song but Henry did a great job. Yes, this was before Bowser and Johnny entered the scene and like they say the rest is history. Fabulous band that only got better and when they were doing their tv show, they were at their professional peak because the had off the chart singers.

Nope, when this was recorded Sha Na Na's bassman was Alan Cooper. He can be seen singing "At The Hop" at Woodstock! Then Bowzer joined the band in 1970 after Cooper left.
