What you see, you can get

Nothing's free, nothing's said

Don't be fooled by the signs

Don't read in between the lines

What you gonna say?

What you gonna do?

Now you've missed out once again

But I thought you knew...

Oh! You silly thing

You've really gone and done it now!

Oh! You silly thing

You really gone and done it now!

Trouble here, trouble there

People stop just to stare

What's the use of wasting time

Just move on, leave 'em all behind

What you gonna say?

What you gonna do?

Now you've missed out once again

But I thought you knew...

Oh! You silly thing

You've really gone and done it now!

Oh! You silly thing

You've really gone and done it now!

Oh, you, silly thing,

Nothin' but the trouble that you bring

One of these days,

You're gonna know

People will say "Oh my, oh my!"

Well people will say "Oh, my my my my!"

Can't you ever depend

On someone you call a friend

When you see the naked eyes

You don't even ask 'em why

You don't even ask 'em why

Oh! You silly thing

You've really gone and done it now!

Oh! You silly thing

You've really gone and done it now!

Oh! You silly thing

You've really gone and done it now!

Oh! You silly thing

You've really gone and done it now!

Even though this is on the Sex Pistols greatest hits, and not really a bad song, without Sid and Johnny (Lydon) Rotten, is this really the Sex Pistols? like someone posted below, more the Professionals than Sex Pistols. I guess? I really don't know much about the Professionals. It is really more of a hair band metal song too (not so much punk). A matter of fact, I think some 80s hair band covered this song. But, I like the song anyway.

For some strange reason that song seemed to go on forever. It seemed like so much longer than two minutes and forty five seconds!

Agli inizi, ancora poco definiti come estetica, ma con un pezzo dirompente

This is the single version with vocals by Steve Jones, the version on the Great Rock N Roll Swindle had Paul Cook on vocals. Oh and Andy Allen did the bass so yes technically this the Professionals.

The original version with Paul Cook singing is superior, in my opinion.

The Ex-Pistols; aka-The Professionals. Steve & Cookie recorded several 45s, an album, lotsa demos (available on CD!) & a coupla videos during and after Sid's noddings & John's tantrums. At least they kept busy. They were also doin' music for and in the film, "Ladies & Gentlemen-The Fabulous Stains", with a very young punk Diane Lane. Worth a look for several reasons.
