Another Gene Clark song originally done with the Byrds. This is such a nice version although the audio lacks.

To say the least. Shows the importance of Dave Crosby's harmonies to the original Byrds success.

I can see this is latter-day Gene, but do you know what year exactly it's from? I think the name "Gene" would make a neat little tattoo on my upper left thigh.

Great song by Gene-You wonder why , we didn't hear more of him singing lead with the Byrds? Rodger(Jim) didn't get along, to say the least, during the band's lifetime. After the Gene left(that's the main reason) Roger and Gene happily made up.

@TADdowitz - The high harmony is being sung by John York. He was also the high harmony singer when he replaced Chris Hillman in the original Byrds in 1968. He's playing bass and tenor vocals on The Byrds live appearance on "Playboy After Dark" from that year. Skip Battin later replaced York. He's actually quite a good singer, though not too great on this live appearance.

This guy was sooo ahead of his time when he was with the Byrds, no wonder the others were jealous of him.
