Serafina is accompanied on the album by Steve Mackey, Jarvis Cocker, The Boxettes, Polar Bear's Seb Rochford, The Flying Lizards' keyboard wizard David Cunningham, Benge and Kohhei Matsuda of Bo Ningen. Recording took place at The Way Studios, Old Street, The Square in East London, Konk, Fish Factory and St Leonards Church Shoreditch variously between December 2011 and June 2012.

Hmmm... It's a shame there's no clandestine electronic undercurrents. That would give her a very eclectic sound & perhaps the edge she needs to consummate the haunting sublime feel of her vocal counterpart. And stand out. But at the moment, this falls into the over saturated category of instrumental, & possibly even (gulp) Folk or Jazz. It's an expensive & lush production, but such an intelligent sound fails to undercut the pretentious status many younger listeners will give her. Tricky.10 years ago
