There it is again, that dull, dark smokey haze over the whole tone. It's like there is a blanket over the tone that if you could only lift it off, you would get the classic Sequential tone. It's right there in your face....but people are raving about this synth?

There must be some sweet memories for Dave Smith of bringing the prototype of original Prophet-5 into the 1978 NAMM show and now into the 2015 NAMM show, 37 year s later, he is bringing the Prophet-6 named SEQUENTIAL again at last. To me this is the new Prophet-5 with some of the best features from the T8 thrown in. This is exactly what I would have been looking for during the last 30 years of loving synths..

Pots look wobbly to me in other videos.. not paying about £2k for an instrument with pots that feel like they are not premium quality. The feel of these instruments is almost as important as the sound when you are paying big bucks: you want an instrument that will last 20 years for this price. I hope SOS pay attention to the build quality in their review...

about time. real keyboard, real knobs and dials (tactile) NO dive-in menus - unreal. brilliant. such a breath of fresh air from all the software synths. I once owned a prophet 5 with remote controller. the glory days. id like to see more REAL synths like this brought back. BRAVO!

Had an Omega but every time I used the arpeggiator the synth would shut down. Had to dump it. The sound was thin compared to the P6.

The future Sequential products will appear sequentially.. So we will all just have to wait and see what comes next. Prophet-6 Deluxe Studio Version with 61-key, five-octave keyboard. Come on Dave! Make it happen! If you build it, they and I, will buy it :)

Sequential Madness baby! Correction Dave, it it is the first Sequential product in 28 years (1987). First Sequential keyboard synth in 29 years, since the Prophet VS in 1986.

I don't know why Dave Smith is the only one making analog polysynths, but I'm glad he is. His sales have been very good with the new Prophets, and I hope he continues to succeed.
