The sentiment is well expressed - but I wonder if it's a bit misguided in that it's not so much the amount of the Holy Spirit we have or pocess,(as if it's like a glass that is half-full or half-empty senario) but rather how much of "US" the Holy Spirit has pocession and control - after all in my opinion, at the moment of conversion we have the indwelling always and forever, as much of the Spirit as we will ever have - yet it's our relinquishing of ourselves more and more to the Holy Spirits benevevolent control and our obedient willingness to do so in following the Masters will that is the key to Godly living. To the extent that the we exercise our wills in accordance with the Heavenly Fathers desires for our good and bring ourselves to the altar as living sacrifices, that is where the empowerment as directed by the Spirit of God can flourish. The idea of "We want more and more and more and more of You" as the lyrics say is a bit like what an infant or small child says to their parents - More! More! More! I'm just gratified God has revealed in me what he chooses to reveal and in the "amounts" He chooses. What say you?
