Excellent balanced stereo remix. Far superior than most copies out there. I can really feel the music !

I agree with Ian Perks - should not have been remastered. And, although written and recorded first by Jackie DeShannon, the Seekers 1964 version imo, was a much better one than hers. She had other hits than I love.

I was playing around with my computer speakers and found a sweet spot with the speakers aimed slightly toward the walls. This sounds like a bigger room.Great songs, and thanks for messing around with it.

THe '60's Rock! Definitely a time warp, music as fresh today as yesterday.... Definitely applies to my awesome FB friend JJS!

I asked Frank Allen on the Searchers website about this, and he confirmed that Mike used the Burns Double Six on this recording, which gives it the hard clangy sound, rather different from the Ricky jangle.

Ah, but they did it the hard way. Two 6-strings tuned to give the 12-string sound. Cool. Hard to do, but very effective.

Love it... I like this song.. no matter who is singing it.. but I first heard it sung b Miss Jackie DeShannon...I was 11 years of age. :) Wonderful to hear this " real music' ..as it is so much better than a lot of the - ahem- so called ' music' of today. :) Thank you!

On this day in 1964 {Feb. 8th} Jackie DeShannon performed "When You Walk In The Room" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand' One month earlier on Jan. 25th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart for a one week stay at position #99 Also in 1964 the Searchers covered it; their version reached #5 in U.K. and #35 in the U.S.A. And thirty years later in 1994 Pam Tillis took it to #2 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart RIP Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012} & Ms. DeShannon turns 69 on August 21st

The Searchers were the second-best group to come out of Liverpool. Great song.

It's kind of a "fake" stereo but I love it! :)

there is something to be said for A song in mono coming out of an am car radio...that's how most of us first heard the songs.back then..but thanks for the remix, I love this song and Needles and Pins if those were the only two songs the Searchers ever released, forming the group would still have been worth it
