I'm a college student. I have liked one girl for about eight months give or take. Finally a few weeks ago, we became friends, we hung out and started to get closer. The other day I asked her out, and she said yes. We went to get coffee, and things went well; we talked and laughed like always. Today I told her a story pertaining to me telling another girl that I liked someone else(her). She told me that she was flattered, but her Ex. had moved back into town and it was poor timing, and I told her I understood and that it apparently just wasn't meant to be. We're still friends, but she was it in my mind, the endgame, the only girl I was interested in at school, and now she's gone. It hit me after that, I am not going to find the person of my dreams at college like so many people I know have. I know that I still have my whole life, but it still sucks to know. On the very same day she tells me she's hung up on someone, I find this song saying “The one that you are looking for, you're not gonna find her here”. *Shakes head*
