I hope he gets most of the guys from the "Cats on the Coast" and On the Edge ALbums and tours small clubs, before everyone passes away.

The title of this video is a little misleading. It's actually The Randall Bramblett Band featuring Chuck Leavell. To my knowledge, they have not billed themselves as Sea Level in years. They have been approached about doing a Sea Level reunion show, but it would not be a complete reunion without Jaimoe on drums. And of course, Lamar Williams passed away 29 years ago, so they'd have to use a substitute bass player, such as Michael Steele or Oteil Burbridge.

I saw Sea level in 1977 at the Warehouse in New Orleans and they rocked. I always wondered what happened to most of these guys. How can we find out about any future dates? Great music, it really brings me back.

@aarfeld: Unfortunately Dickey didn't take this opportunity to bury the hatchet--though he was invited. I guess his bitterness was just too deep.

@gboutilier: What was the occasion for this reunion? Do they plan to do more? And who drummed for them at this gig?

Search Wolfgang's Vault web site to listen to their 3 live shows from 1978. Spectacular!

Man, I forgot how good these guys were. What great flow and rythymn they have. Oh to be back in the 70's again. Southern rock, rythymn and blues is absolutely the best sound ever.

Seeing these guys play brings back memories. My dad, Donnie Wever opened for them several times in the late 70" early 80's. I still listen to them quite often, Sea Level that is.

I think you can count on it. Just about everybody that has ever played with the ABB will take the stage at some point--let's hope Dickey is among them. Also look for Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Boz Skaggs, members of Cowboy and many others for whom Duane Allman played on sessions to come up and pay tribute to Skydog and the 40-year legacy that he founded.

When he's concert master for the Rolling Stones? And making the big bucks--rather than Georgia peanuts? You'll have better luck bringing back Johnny Neel or Mike Lawler. What ever happened to that guy?
