I loved this song as a younger person and it's still pretty catchy, but that guy looks too twee to ever do anything like Aretha Franklin. Also, what in h--- is the black power salute doing in this at @2:41? And how many dopes watching thought that was a dance move?

Scritti Politti - Pray like Aretha Franklin. The US got a different video apparently. Music produced by Arif Mardin.

Not really my thing. The only reason I'm here is because, for Christmas, my partner bought me this book - 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die, and I promised to go through the book from the beginning, read about the song then listen to it and then make a comment, and I've just got to this one!

This was the era when your song and video didn't match. They had so many concept videos it wasn't funny. Nothing in this video matches what he's singing about. The contemporary dancer is getting it in!!!
