Here's the ad from Craig's list: "Seeking young bass player in between the ages of 18-25 (female or male) for a live band for a Hip Hop/R&B artist from BET's 106 and Park. Must be willing to travel to the inland empire for practice, and willing to travel around LA,OC, SD, and the I.E. for shows. Please send performance links and social media links to the email below. Will discuss compensation upon approval. Check out the artist below."1. Talking over a prerecorded track does not make one an "artist".2. Where is any active, electric, acoustic BASS guitar in this track? Or are you looking for someone to stand there and wave their hands in the air like the rest of the ding-dongs in this video.3. Never heard of Eric before but when another person is "featured" (again, talking, waving hands in the air doesn't make him an "artist" either"...), but shouldn't something spectacular happen or original take place? All I see/hear is the typical, mindless "yo! yo! yo!" nonsense from this guy.4. It's just beyond embarrassing to see this girl flounder around in a car that we all know is not hers going to a location that is not owned by anyone in the video. Anyone can rent a car or a location and stuff them full of goof-balls that are waving their hands and saying the same thing that all other rappers have done since the beginning of when this trend started.5. There are no real instruments in this song as well as no musicianship from anyone in the video so why run an ad asking for one to step up?6. I know there will be a bunch of hate coming back at me here but seriously, for those of us real musicians (I've had two record deals already. I have toured Europe, Mexico, and The United States with MUSICIANS as a MUSICIAN just to qualify here...) are just not interested in being a part of events/shows full of sweaty people that are mindless about what music is and can be. This girl seems like a nice person but here eyes are dead in the video - just lifeless (I guess that's called "going hard" in this sort of silly outer stretch of what is considered "music" by people that love drum machines and repetitive loops that have zero soul in them...) and her talking here can be done by about 5 billion other humans on earth (notice how I left out a couple billion. People in general wouldn't waste their time really with this.), so where is the talent in this video (rhetorical question), and since there isn't any, why should a real musician respond to this ad?Please quit posing online and spending so much money on a dream. It's offensive to real musicians and the public at large.7. Bonus Comment: Put sunglasses on any young black guy, stand him in the middle of a group of mindless zombies that also are starved for attention that want to get in a video, pop a couple shirts on him during the video (yep, I hung in there and noticed the Diana Ross/Elton John costume changes by the dude. What's that about? lol) and then make him lip sync to talking/lightly "singing"/while saying "yo yo yo yo" during the video and that young black guy can basically just be what ever all the ones before him fronted as being - a carbon-copy, nobody mirroring the last guy that did it 5 minutes earlier only to be replaced by another clone 5 minutes later. This "music" does nothing for the world other than regurgitate the lame efforts of the less-than-visionary robots before them. Good luck getting a bass player to get on board. What a joke. :)#voicetotext #thumbsdownonmycommentmeansimright #lol
