The 'Lords' trademark tune, produced by Joe Meek. Perfect for his shock-rock stage show.

For some reason, no radio stations wanted to go near this!

Must have been quite the disruptive neighborhood living near Meeks Holloway Rd. apartment. Ululations going on at all hours of the night even back then.

@Decbabe85 yea exactly - it's clearly a UK response to the Monster Mash. Nothing wrong with that tho, both are pure pop genius!

His Lordship toured Australia supporting Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs in late 1964.He was backed by The Dave Bridge Trio and he was GREAT.

@markallenkellner The White Stripes did not play this version, they covered, er rather, mangled a song by a US teen garage band, c.66 The One Way Streets, which is basically the Peter Gunn riff with different lyrics than Sutch's original classic, heard here. Those other bands listed below essentially did the same...

No airplay? Well, that's what Radio Sutch was created for :-) Admittedly, you could only get Sutch in Essex and Kent, and a tiny bit of the East End of London, but it was a start.
