One of Joplin's masterpieces - shows Rifkin as King of all of all Ragtime. He beats out the rest - (1) mainly due to his academia training which none of the rest possess - Juilliard B.A., indep. studies with (8) of the world's renowned pianists at Univ. Gottingen (Germany), & NYU, then an MFA @ Princeton. The mastery of his technical training, precision playing according to original writing was done in those locations. He also teaches at Boston U. & has taught at Harvard, Yale, NYU, & Brandeis.

I forgot, after checking over most of these rags, I didn't not that @ 3:38, Joplin (Rifkin) suddenly for ONE minute - completely turns this piece around into a crezendo of different vibrant chording between major and minor changes that I've not noticed in 90% of Joplin's works - simply MARVELOUS - you all should listen to this one again.

Another one of Rifkin's performances of one of Scott's more minor Rags, however, excellent in details of the changes in chording, and melodies.
