The official music video for the song "Velvet", from the album "Mary Is Coming" (1996) by Savoy.
I just tried to make the vid look & sound** clearer, and added the lyrics & the translation (into Japanese) as subtitles.
I really love this 'original version' of Velvet as much as a-ha's. This original version has UK independent-rock touch, but the elegance is flowing seamlessly in the core - and shows us how addictive this song is. And Paul's vox fits both of his clear acoustic & distortion electric guitars on it, IMO.

Well, you know what? I actually prefer Savoy's version, with Paal singing. I think Morten's voice is too light for the song. It's a real shame the song did not do better in the 'States. By the way, do you remember if Simone Larsen sings on both versions? Because I couldn't tell the difference between the female voices when I listened to them both. I know that Anneli Drecker sang live when they performed, but don't recall if Simone sang on both of the bands' recordings of this song.11 years ago
