Hey there is a terrible mistake here. Who got the name Savannah from Savannah Smiles was Shannon Michelle Wilsey in 1990. The real Savannah was a beautiful and stunning girl, please don't make confusion.

i thought my sister just could not let go of a form of my moms name. her first daughter has my moms name as a middle name and her savannah is her second daughters name. then my niece used my moms name as her daughters middle name witch is her middle name too.

I was 7 or 8 when this movie came out in 1982 and decided back then if I ever had daughter I was going to name her Savannah Bridgette after the movie and actress. Guess what? Years later I had a daughter and I named her Savannah Bridgette. Unfortuately she died when she was 3 months old and even though she's up in Heaven I still smile everytime I watch the movie and hear this song When Savannah Smiles.
