Album of the year!! I haven't heard better. I got the new nails record last night and I love the nails but... this is still an outshining effort, the apprentice has become the master. Not a bad moment to found on here, start to end a flawless achievement. The sound is Epic and rich, SW barely raps and I'm quite sure, never drop the 'N' word. Bieber, Gaga etc... I never liked any of you, but guess what, in one fell swoop you and every other over hyped popster have become obsolete.

People don't like it... but you don't see how he's evolving. It completely shows transformation. Yes, tis true, we don't always remain the same ... in actuality, like a bird, we fly... and yes Saul, my man, we take off like a fuckin' rocket!. He said he is a reflection of all people... I am honoured by his music and what he sees in all of us! Love!xoxoxoxoxoxo

I really don't like this album. I've read his poetry, heard his spoken word stuff and loved it. Even the previous albums were fucking amazing. But this is not good.

I'm seeing Saul in Boston in February. Be jealous. Very, very jealous.

This album is great. Saul Williams is very underrated as an artist.

Amethyst Rock Star was incredible. He needs someone like Rick Rubin to tell him when he's not doing his best. He needs to rap, as well as sing, and he needs some decent beats, not this noisy techno space cacophony. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone who likes this, and I understand the need for growth and development, but I just cannot comprehend how someone who made "Twice the First Time" and "Wine" could evolve into someone like this...

@YoungDirtyCwalk i actually like that this album is a little softer. i mean, yea, some of this stuff is really out there for the mainstream, but his is a message that needs to be shared with the masses, not kept sacred by the elite. the album seems gentler as a whole, as if he found a way to channel some of his anger into love, rather than just recording anger. watching his art evolve is beautiful and inspiring. i can only hope more and more people get to share his message.

Didn't really like that album... compared to his other albums that is. He took a safer route with both his instrumentation and his vocals. Lyrics seem easier to access on most tracks, and instrumentation a lot easier to access. Compare this to Black History Month for example, instrumentation-wise that's a world of difference.
