I honestly didn't really like this song at first. While the lyrics were absolutely lovely, it felt overproduced with the unnecessary orchestra in the background taking away from Sarah's voice and piano playing. I'm listening to it more now, and I feel that the orchestra actually does serve an important purpose in the song, especially as it gets quieter as the song goes on. "Drifting" is now one of my favorite songs from the Afterglow album. :)

Just listened to every song on this album. So much nostalgia, I remember long car rides to Ohio with this song on repeat, through the mountains of the Virginia's and the hills of Indiana. God I miss it.
