Yes, we know we get a new favourite singer once a week but Texas-born Sarah is very special. Even though she's only twenty, you can find videos of her being amazing that stretch back 10 years. And she's already been nominated for a Grammy.

Her second album, Follow Me Down is a strong contender for our album of the year.

Here she is performing a song from it, her own adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's final poem, upstairs in London's Bush Hall in July 2011. Accompanied by Nathaniel Smith on cello and Alex Hargreaves on fiddle.

It was really good. I don't like that the words were changed but overall great.

I've been following her since she was a kid. She was about this good then too. Now she's not a child sensation but she's still quite the sensation.

It should be no surprise to me and I guess it isn't, but the young talent these days is mind boggling. It has always been that way I guess, the added delight is when artists with talent like this young woman still have it when they are the age of Tony Bennett and Stephane Grappelli before his passing. Great stuff, there are always new and interesting....
