There's something about the feeling of this song--especially those bad-da-da harmonies--that goes way, way deep to my roots. I didn't discover the song until much later in life, but growing up in the 60s felt *exactly* like this to me.

I first found this album in the record collection of my local public library when I was in junior high. Fast forward over thirty years to a summer in Nottingham, UK, but what should I find in the local HMV but the CD version!!!! What a find!

I love this song. I lived abroad in my late twenties, and discovered the wonderful Sandy Denny in the dusty CD stacks at the library. Lucky find! I felt so free there, and alive. Her words and melodies captured the time beautifully. When I hear her voice, a time capsule opens up in the back of my mind. Music can cajole and maneuver the mustiest memories out of their cages. Sense memory is amazing, don't you think? Thank-you for the upload!

compare this lp to peter paul and mary's "best of" [10 years together] both are folk milestones but this was recorded in aug 68 with no overdubs cause they didn't know how -some of the best songs dave cousins ever wrote AND sandy's "who knows where the time goes" [later recorded by over 400 diff artists] also --both of fairport's "1st albums" are gems 'fairport convention" feat JUDY DYBLE and the sandy denny lp "fairport convention" aka "what we did last summer" both feat richard thompson et al
