9th and last track of the last Samhain album "Final Descent", only on the re-release from 2001 on EvilivE/E-Magine records. The Plan 9/Caroline version has the "Unholy Passion" EP as the B-side. "Final Descent" was planned to be released as "Samhain Grim" in 1988, but it never happened.

This song was originally written for "Samhain Grim" but ended up on the first Danzig album.

Does anyone know what he says after "worm inside your skull" in this version? It's different than the Danzig versions lyrics.

@placeboeffecto I also prefer the band's backing vocals rather than the female backing the Danzig version had in the chorus.

@Honkofthewall Yeah, I could always tell though that Possession and Twist of Cain were Samhain songs originally, I just felt it somehow, and then I looked them up at one point and confirmed it.

@KedViper Well, Rick certainly had a big influence on Glenn at the time, just compare November Coming Fire/Final Descent with the Danzig debut. I'm not saying that Glenn didn't want to play bluesy music, but that Rubin probably encouraged him to do the blues stuff instead of the hardcore punk he was playing before.

@Honkofthewall Wait, so you're saying the reason he was all bluesy was because of him or what?

I don't think so. He still has his voice, yes it's not the same as 20 years ago, but he still has it. Listen to "When We Were Dead" for example. And he didn't do industrial because of that of course. He left Rick Rubin, so he had no influence any longer, which meant Glenn could do anything he wanted again (just like Samhain back then). So Danzig 5-CoS is Samhain in the 20th/21st century for me.
