This song is as old as the hills! I've heard versions of this song dating back to the 1930's. But I have to say that Sam's is the best version. And even though this song is supposed to be remembered for how beautiful it is sung, no one can hear this song and not think about An American Werewolf In London. Damn you John Landis!!! Just kidding :)

I always can't help but think of An American Werewolf in London and that fantastic transformation scene or that disturbing howl when it pans to the moon. Just great movie and I seriously think John Landis is up there with directors like Speilberg, Kubrick, and Lucas.
