I completely understand where you're coming from. Sam Cooke is the epitome of musicianship and I feel remorse for this generation (my generation) because the vast majority don't have a clue of Sam's brilliance... may he rest in peace.

How can a song this vocally sensational and melodically beautiful have 1 dislike... some people will neva appreciate the true beauty of musicianship. Isn't about time they've done a movie about the life of Sam Cooke... if they can do 1 for the GREAT Ray Charles, they can definitely do 1 for the GREAT Sam Cooke. Maybe then people who dislike these treasures will have more homage and respect for them.

I used to burnnnnnnnnnnnnn this back in brooklyn new york on my moms stereo..and my record players ..i love the yearning in his voice..and i used to mimic him pouring my heart and soul out..towards the end as Sam does..this song takes me back to about 13yrs old way back in 67 and 68.but i started listening to the song around 1965..this and my moms farvorite Tennesse Waltz..now moms has joined same..RIP moms and Sam I love you both so much and MISS you Both!..
