I've see the other, more popular, version of the lyrics to this song. They MIGHT be correct, but I swear this version sounds dead on to me. Unless he combines "goobye" and "I'll" into one word, I don't hear enough syllables. "Mark" and "mock" are too close to call. But if they had a lyric booklet that came with the CD, then I would have to digress.

I looked it up, and turns out 3/4 of my current favs off the is album (this, Saturdays, and Humanoid) include double bass usage. I hadn't actually realized it before then. It's not something I consciously look for in music, so maybe it's just weird like that.

Said lead Singer Pete Loeffler: The guy is really sick of being a part of the human race, so he says he's crawling back to sea. It's taking an evolutionary mindset. He can't stand being on the earth, so he's basically going back home to the water.
