What I like from Phil´s music is that is about the glory to come, God truly fills our life with joy and love when we find him, but he sing of the true blessing wich is meeting him at last, reaching him when he comes in glory and being able to join our God through salvation wich with out it we are dead. im not perfect, far from it, i get angry when driving, craving for material things and other stuffs, and listening to this lyrics makes me wonder on my wreck christian life :p

it may not have been one of those times when people were supposed to stand up, ya know? sometimes our church does the "someone is going to sing a song, just sit and reflect on the words" usually in response to a sermon with a pertinent / similar message. i feel like saddleback of all places is a pretty worshipful one.

When I first saw everyone sitting down, I was kind of sad. I used to be quiet and watch everyone else worship too so I know where they are coming from. But there is freedom when we surrender during worship with lifting our hands as a way to say I'm Yours God, all of me. There's freedom in worship it's a way for us to draw near to God. God says to draw near to Him and He'll respond. It's amazing when we catch the Father's love, we can't help but worship Him.

I dunno. The first time I heard this song I was awestruck. I didn't speak or sing or raise my hands I just cried and cried and cried. A week later and I'm still the same. I think that this particular recording has the anointing of God on it and I expect He does a work in somebody's heart every time it is played. Thank you God. Bx

I respectfully disagree with the negative comments about the congregation. For one, when he performed this it was still a VERY new song, and I bet very few people in the congregation knew it. Second, I don't see the lyrics up anywhere for them to sing along (maybe I just wasn't watching carefully enough though). Third, the congregation is not a concert audience, and they are not "worshiping for show" so kudos to them for worshiping in their hearts! And thank God for inspiring this beautiful song

Even though there doesn't seem to be much of an external response to these songs, it doesn't mean that thoughts of God isn't on their minds or hearts at that moment. If the people are applying Romans 12:1-2 in the midst of this sinful world, I can't really knock on them. From what it looks like, most of them are probably old fashioned which is why it seems dead. We can never underestimate how the Holy Spirit works in people's hearts. That's just what I think, I could be wrong haha
