It is speaking against three things. Religious pluralism in the first verse, works as a way to salvation in the second verse, and Christians who fall away in the second verse. These things are sinking sand. I hope that was helpful. Also all of the albums lyrics are on their website.

They sound a lot different without Rey on vocals here -- it is good, I was wondering if they were listening to Ion Vein or Iced Earth when they were doing this album. This does remind me a little of Iced Earth.
